When using Crystal Reports to create a report against an Oralce 8i database, I get an ORA error "format too long". This only happens if the data/time value acutally has a time value (ie. 01:00) if the value is only a date with 00:00:00, the report works fine.

Using an ODBC connection, the report sort of works.

What dlls should I have for Crystal reports -> native Oracle 8i?

Thanks for your help.

HI
I am using Oracle 8i dbs as well. I suggest that you go with an ODBC connection instead. This took care of all my date time issues.

One update is onb the Oracle website. ORA8163.zip

The other is on Seageat site. It is the Cror815.zip update.

Hope this helps
