Oracle 10g bab agent

Hi all..
I have a problem with oracle 10g asm/raw rac.
The oracle disks are not visible to the operating system (w2k3) ad usual in raw mode, but I can't find specific instructions on the manual, so I assume that I have to install the agent as usual. I also checked the c.a. document "important information for oracle 10g users...".
The error is generic "invalid username or password".
I use sys to connect via agent the db . I also tried a connection via sqlplus, the credential are correct.
Bab is v11.1 sp1.

Any idea ?

From memory, databases on RAW partitions can only ever be backed up using the BACKINT part of the Oracle agent. You should double check with CA to see if they support this.

from c.a. compatibility matrix for oracle agent:

"Windows 2003 Ent.Server - Oracle 8.1.6, 8.1.7, 9.0.1, 9.2, 10.G (32Bit with/without ASM), 10G (32 Bit RAC with ASM/OCFS/raw devices)"

Since our dba are not the best on the planet they -maybe- have installed 10g asm/raw without ocfs.
Is this possible ?
I can't be a sysadmin AND a dba...

No idea, sorry - I only know that ARCserve won't see or be able to backup the databases if they are on RAW partitions normally, unless you are using backint.

BrightStor ARCserve Backup for Windows and the BrightStor ARCserve Backup for Windows Agent for Oracle do not support Automatic Storage Management (ASM) in Oracle 10g.

Hmmm...now i need a backup software to backup oracle in asm/raw/rac application...
