Hi gurus,
I was importing datas for a datadump which could not proceed successfully and we have to kill the process in between. After restarting the machine when we start sqlplus it gives error: ORA-010134 ORACLE NOT AVAILABLE
I have restarted all the services related to oracle but nothing happened.
Please help......[love]

In addition to the services, did you start the database instance?
Code:
ORA-01034

ORA-01034ORACLE not available

Cause:ORACLE was not started up. Possible causes are:

·The SGA requires more space than was allocated for it.

·The operating system variable pointing to the instance is improperly defined.

Action:Refer to accompanying messages for possible causes and correct the problem mentioned in the other messages. Retry after ORACLE has been initialized. If ORACLE has been initialized, verify that ORACLE was linked correctly. Also, refer to the installation or user's guide for additional information about this error.

thanks for ur response....
I tried everything u mentioned plus additional things which I found in various documents... but in vain...
Finally I Re-installed Oracle... created tablespaces etc.. and imported datadump...
So I solved the problem in non-technical way....
