Hi
Im looking at modifying the DNS Suffix for a new SOE Im trying to create. What are my options?
- Can it be set as part of the sysprep procedure??
- We run AD 2003 Group Policies. I tried using the workstation policy but it doesn't work correctly. The GUI is all blank but if I do a ipconfig /all some of the settings are applying - very strange. I run a RSOP on my XP machine and it thinks the DNS settings have all applied but they the GUI is all blank (very strange) - all other Group Policy settings in the GPO work OK.
- I can modify the reg keys but i can't find all the settings. I have successfully updated the DNS Suffix order via HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\SearchList but I also need the keys that set the these options
1) DNS suffix for this connection:
2) Tick the Register this connection's addresses in DNS
3) Use this connections DNS suffix in DNS registration
Can anyone tell me why my Group Policies are not working or what registry keys set the 3 options listed above.. Alternatively, is there any 3rd party tool that easily allows me to configure these options via a command line??
Thanks
Anthony
