option unit

I just instlled the option unit with the DBC4224 as mentioned in Alex, and I want to activate the external bell fature.

In my scenarion I have an extra bell with Input power 220VAC and I know the limittation AlEX says Maximum load on EXTERNAL DEVICE is 1 A resistive or 0.3 A capacitive or 0.3 A inductive load at maximum 24 V AC or 48 V DC (An external over-voltage protection is recommended).
does this limitation mean that fi we want to use a bill with option unit with digital phones must be powered max. by 24 VAC... consequently is this reason I can't trigger the bell of 220VAC, which I'am using right now?.

You can use the 24v output to pull a relay and connect your 220v supply for the bell to the relay contacts.

I write from Italy, sorry for my english not good.
The plug of option unit have not 1 output of 24 V,
the plug have the contacts of a small relay.
You have to take the power suplly from 1 dc transformer (12 or 24 or 48 V) and connect to a relay with coil with the same voltage with on series the contact of option unit.
with the contact of the relay You can switch a bell 220V
Is better to select a relay with coil with high impedance, not good relays for board pannel, ok relay for electronic circuits.
