Good morning,

Running an Option 11C at Rls 25.40B

The unit performed a SYSLOAD and I am trying to determine the cause. Have not seen 000809 in posts before.
The switch also did not come up clean as I had to get two TMDI cards hard reset in order to be able to send enable commands to them The system was saying they were not present.

Here is a print.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

you need the codes prior to the sysload, not post.. in that old of a rls, tmdi needing a reseat was not uncommon... prior to rls 21 most problems could be fixed by an ini,, the 1st rls 21 i installed required reseating of most controller cards to get the ipe's up after any ini.. not a great improvement.. a new rls of cni cards helped around rls 23

Do you happen to have backups running at 4:00am?? (DATE/TIME: 16/2/2009 04:08:28)
I have seen quite a few sysloads in my day around 'midnight routines'
I was gonna say look at the controller cards, but who knows really ... haha
Good luck in advance.
Last note: Did you have any maint/after hours work done recently?

INI002 I/O device fault, where xx is to the maintenance display code in.
Action:
Severity: Critical. Critical to Monitor: Yes. SNMP trap: Yes

INI 003 Network or PE signaling fault, where xx is the maintenance display code in
HEX.
Action:
Severity: Critical. Critical to Monitor: Yes. SNMP trap: Yes

Just to update: The problem was really narrowed down when the power supply smoked in the switch. (11C) I was surprised since SYS809 did not seem to point to power.

Thanks for the replies

For some reason when you let the smoke out of the system it doesn't run too well. And you can't just put the smoke back in, you have to replace it with expensive factory smoke. B-)

That is exactly why I never change the oil in my car...the factory oil is the best.
