It would appear that my remote Opt 11 is not saving the changes I make to it. I made a change 2 different times and the next day it was back to where I changed it from. I looked in load 43 and here's what I found:

.dat
DATABASE ISSUE DATE(d/m/y)/TIME SIZE(recs) SEQNO
Main 400T 03/06/2014 at 01:00:30 97 207
Secondary 400T 16/05/2014 at 01:00:34 97 206
IntBackup 400T 03/06/2014 at 01:00:30 97 207
PCMCIA database not accessible.
Current external backup is on PCMCIA drive B

.
EDD000

.
TEMU020 Errno 0x380003: Failure opening file b:/u/db/config.rec

TEMU020 Errno 0x380003: Failure opening file b:/u/db/database.rec

What can I do to remedy this? I have never had to mess with the backup and database stuff before?

The first thing to do is to follow the details below on removing the TEMU020 error message by installing a patch

On a rls 04.00 CS1000 system, after carrying out an EDD or DAT in LD43, TEMU020 messages are produced because the archived database on the pcmcia card (drive B) is not accessible:

TEMU020 Errno 0x380003: Failure opening file b:/u/db/config.rec
TEMU020 Errno 0x380003: Failure opening file b:/u/db/database.rec

patch 20299 prevents these messages being output.

The other thing is to print off the history file in case it shows anything unusual.

Finally, try this little trick that has worked for me!.

Make a couple of changes then go into LD 43 and key in SWP to move the main and secondary databases with each other. Use DAT to confirm that the changes have been done.

Then do a EDD as normal and check again with DAT.

Thanks!! Not sure where to get the patch or how to install it - not something I have had to do? I have a ticket open with a vendor. Could I try to do the SWP without the patch and would it make anything worse? I'll print out the history file and keep it handy.

The patch is in the last reply I did and it is fine to do the SWP without installing the patch.

The patch is applied via "pdt"
