I have an Option 11 system with a PRI for local calling and inbound calls. A second TMDI card is used for a T for LD. I am changing the PRI carrier and replacing the long distance T with a second PRI.

Is there a quick way to copy the set up of the 1st TMDI (PRI) to the second TMDI? Also, I need all calls (local and LD to route across an available channel of the PRI's. Any insights to that change would be appreciated.

Trying to read as little (of the book) as possible but can if I have to. Thanks

that was very little reading.. you can use the rdb if the trunk type is the same.. tn, type des route member.. are the only prompts on the trunks that are not default.. an in 14 you can new 23 and build one, the rest follow the sequemce..

all thing equal, total keyboard is >10

Make sure you have the correct hardware. The T-1 card needs to have a daughter card on the lower half of the card to enable the D chan. A PRI card will work as a T-1 card, but not the other way around without the daughter card.

Unless its different on your stuff a T1 doesn't require a daughter board for a D channel, only for clocking, My 11s don't have a daughter board on Tmdis for PRIs

Thanks,

Buddy

No d-channel daughterboard needed on a TMDI. One of your 2 cards should already have a clock card so you shouldn't have to worry about that. I would configure your new PRI into a new route and overflow to each other on the RLI in LD 86.

Thanks for the info. That will help immensely. John, too funny. Again thanks for the quick response. Might have time to get to happy hour.

bhassell2000 - It depends on the hardware you have. Looks like you may have the NTRB21 or similar type cards which have the built in Dchan hardware. If you had the older NTAK09 cards you would need the NTAK93 D channel daughter board. I guess thats the difference between TMDI and MSDL cards

Correct, he said he had a TMDI, the NTAK09 has the NTAK93 DCHI or NTBK51 MSDL daughter boards, the DCHi are crap, can't FDL the frimware to them

Thanks,

Buddy
