Have a 1 unit, 2.0 xeon, 1gbram, 2X 36gb u160 scsi drives in server. The drives are mirrored using ibm serveraid. Going to do a fresh install of server 2003, then exchange 2003, and move my mailboxes over to it eventually. What would be the best configuration of the drives...should i make a seperate partition for the page file, and if so...the first part or the last part. How big a page file? and should i seperate the exch db and the logs on diff partitions? keep in mind, just 36gb to work with. thanks.

Take 10 Gig or so max. for your OS System drive, including the swapfile, and leave the swap to auto, it does not really matter anymore.
Just put the Exchange DATA on a seperate DISK if possible.
A seperate volume (partition) does not bring any real benefits.

ya, a seperate disk really isnt an option, unfortunately. There's only 2 in the machine...and we require a mirror.

In that case, you could split into partitions for clarity, but performance wise, it does not matter.

Also apply settings of KB815372. Because you have 1GB of RAM you should apply the /3GB switch (/3GB does not imply more than 3GB of RAM; it's just from 1GB and up)
