What I say, I say out of experience....dont add end connetors to singlemode fiber. Use pigtails and a good fusion or mech splice, but the is no way in h*ll that an end connector, even if pre-terminated and pre-polished, can come out better than a pigtail and splice; at least no intall I've ever done, or any of the many professionals that I have ever worked with can get it that way....On the plus side, mech. splices require very little tooling, just a really, really good cleaver.
