Everytime I turn off my computer the light in my optical mouse is still on. Is this normal? Is there someway I can change the setting anywhere so that the mouse light will turn off? I have a microsoft optical mouse.

optical mouse light problem

It is quite normal for the red beam of light to stay on permanently and clever use of "power down" circuitry means than is this resting state the mouse is using only a bare minimum of battery power.
Short of removing the batteries I don't think there is anything you can do about this design feature.
I'm guessing you are talking cordless optical?
