I have several pbx's that i hyperterm into remotely using a dedicated line. however, i now have a switch that is set up to use a dn.the receptioinst said that the previous tech would call & have her switch to night service so that he could dial in. any info would be very helpful as this cust is over 50 mi away

he had her switch to nights because he is using either ld 49 idc table and a did or nite_data on an auto term cot.. do you have did at that site? could be that the last tech was out of did numbers.. after you look at those prompts you should be able to build a work around or have the att transfer you to that ext

Like john said he probably had line 5 set up to go to the modem when the system is in night mode. Because odds are that no one would hit line 5 when they were closed.
