Note: 1 Before Beginning an Upgrade, reference the PRI NSU Firmware Versions Chart under “Software Release History”. Then, from ESM, go to Maintenance Commands, Enter < Version > look at PRI NSU Compare the PRI NSU and PRI Card version i.e.: “ PRI T1 ----------------: NSU_PRI 30-SEP-2004 11:24 [VER-1.4.1.3] ” Check the second digit. In this example the version is 1.”4”. 1.3, if this changes to 1.5.0.3, the “ 5” indicates a change in IMAT Database (that would also indicate that a Database currently running in a PRI NSU or PRI Card needs to be converted). Go to the Tools Folder on the Software CD and Install IMAT. Before you begin the Software Upgrade, download the Database from the PRI NSU or PRI Card; to your PC then save it to a folder. Then, convert this Database using IMAT. Save it to the PRI NSU or PRI card and then begin the System Software Upgrade. Tip: If the PRI NSU fails to Load after Performing an Upgrade, check the Database Version in the NSU. Refer to KB 05-5134-00023-02 for further details.
