hi. i've come across the "workbook sharing" functionality in excel 2003, and altough i find it probably very usefull (since we are 4 ppl working on the same excel file), i fear for the integrity of the data.

so im looking for opinion-experiences: is it safe? have u ever experienced data loss of any kind?

what kind of measures should i take no to loose data?

thanks in advance.

Since it's just 4 people, the easiest I would think is to save your original workbook and then click Tools - Share Workbook. Check "Allow Changes By More Than One User At The Same Time". Now make three copies of it, with different names - maybe with your peer names - and pass them out.
After they made their changes, collect them, and open your original workbook. Then click Tools - Compare And Merge Workbooks. Press and hold CTRL and select their workbooks. Then click OK to merge.
Then click Tools - Track Changes - Accept Or Reject Changes. Check the "Who" box. Then click OK and you'll see each change made and can accept or reject it.
