opinion required...storing huge xml data..

Hi ,
I need to build an application which should store xml data(huge in volume).It should able to retrieve that xml data and do reporting also based on the dtd elements.
Can someone help with the possible solution.Like will storing XML in oracle be a better option.Or what are the other options available.Are there any tolls which can help in reporting in this case.
