I have an Intuity Audix R4 working on a Definity R6 switch. When I access a mailbox for an extension and I hit "0" for the operator I get a message saying no operator to be found. Can I get to the operator by hitting 0 or do I have to set up an auto-attendant?

In audix, enter the command:

change system-parameters features

Look for the "covering extension". That's the default number that is called when you press 0.

You can also change each subscriber to have a different covering extension. That way calls to an executive will reach the executive assistant, and not a general operator pool.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)
