operator selected date range

I know,,, that somewhere you boys and girls have answered this before, but as I am an RPG programmer, working on an access project. I need to build a query of the file, based on a beginning and ending date range. I know how to prompt for a varible, like an equipment number, or order number. But have no idea how to prompt for a begining and endng date. Any and all help is appreicated..

The addition of the TOP 10 is pretty kewl,,, can you do it for each site code,, ie Quarry??

Well I hate to say it, but I believe it was operator error,, go ahead and string me up.. The field is defined as date/time. I am use to working on a system where you do not enter the "/". Therefore a date of 01/01/2004, is entered as 01012004. You can guess the rest of the story,,, when I key it with the slashes,, it works perfectly.. I chalk it up to cross platform contamination. Everyone has been great with helping,,, you guys are good, to say the least... I am just an "old dog",., trying to learn new tricks. Now,,, what about the top ten by each site....

That cross platform contamination will get you every time!!!

Was gone this morning to a quarry,, yep,,, I have found that usually, it is something simple that you have taken for granted that ends up bitting you in the ... tahnks for your help,, will keep an eye out for the top 10 by site post
