Operator console- Wireless headset

We have an operator console on our Option 61c that the reception supervisor would like to install a wireless headset on. Is it possible? We ordered a non-amplified plug for the console, but as soon as the current plug is unplugged, the console goes into night mode and it cannot be taken back out until we plug the original plug back in. Is there a way to trick the phone, or a special plug we need to buy?

check the plantronics website for merridian station type m2250.. we found ours there and ordered a dozen.. over a year later we have not had a single unit fail, the operators love them..

Plantronics makes a particular jack for the Meridian 2250.
the P10 is what they normally issue but I believe the one you need is the P10m.
