Is there a way to monitor only select ports on cisco switches? I don't want to monitor all of the cisco ports, only the ones that have servers attached.

You can unmanage all fo the undesired ports by highlighting them and selecting unmanage in the edit menu. You can also configure the Catalyst switch to not send link traps for certain ports.
