Opening other users OST files

Is it possible if multiple users use a single machine to open one users ost file in the other users Outlook when they log on, as long as they know where the other users ost file is located? Never thought much about this, so I had to ask.

Don't know about ost files - you can certainly add additional pst files to your outlook profile, using the mail icon in control panel.

Why would they need to open the same ost file? If multiple people login to the machine, and each is configured to access the same Exchange mailbox, they'll create their own .ost file.

They dont need to... I simply want to know how easy it was to get into someone elses ost file. If its possible at all.

.ost files typically can't be opened by multiple users at the same time. Additionally, other users shouldn't even have access to the location holding the .ost file.
