When ever I open an Illustrator eps directly in Phtoshop, (i.e. rasterizing). There is always a change in colors. Why on earth should it happen. Is there any way to get the same color values in Phtoshop, those originally used in Adobe Illustrator.

I am using Illustrator 8.0. Photoshop 5.5.

I am having the same problem. I have already checked that the color settings match but still have a problem. I have been opening the illustrator file in photoshop (from ai and eps, no difference). Interestingly the numerical color values in the newly created photohop file are identical, but they appear lighter. Both images are set to CMYK, and I can't think what else to try.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Is the color difference onscreen AND in print? Illustrator and Photoshop (although both from Adobe) may render color onscreen differently. Print should be uniform.

Why take vector art into Photoshop to dumb it down to raster? Illustrator can place bitmaps.

When you place Photoshop images into Illustrator, do they change color?
