Hi,

A question from a swedish novice..

I have a program that deliever a excel-file everyday. They are called 051227, 051228.xls etc.

I have another workbook where I want the information to be added.

If I have a cell with =now() or =today() and want to use this information and pare it together with the files delievered from the other system. Is there a smart solution so I copy the right information to the right place in my master workbook?

I've planned to use this every night to update the master workbook..

Roger

Hi and welcome to Tek-Tips. Check out faq222-2244 to see how to get the best from the forum.

It looks from your question that you may be planning to use Excel VBA rather than VB6. If so, try forum707. If it's real VB6, you will need to clarify what you want to achieve, but start by looking at the Year, Month and Day functions.

Come back when you have more specific questions
