Hi there

When i try to open (or even select) a powerpoint file on the server, the server uses 99% of its cpu.

When i copy some of the "problem files" to another pc, there doesn't seem to be a problem. Also, when i try to open them over the network there is no problem.

The problem only occurs when opening the files on the server (localy and network).

Any help is appreciated.

Are the PPT's extremely large? If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

No, that 's the wierd part about it.

Some files are only 300k. Other are 5MB, but they all are smaller that 15MB.

My configuration is Win2k AS with a Win2k Pro client, running Office XP.

But i don't think office is causing the problem because if i just select the file or ask for properties, i m in trouble to.
