I get the following error in Access when I try to open an Access 97 file in Access 2000.
The Access 97 file was created in WinNT 4.0, with full access to "All", and "Network":

"The current user account doesn't have permission to convert or enable this database."

How do I open this file? The weird thing is that not all files copied across are unreadable. Some instantly suggest I convert to Access 2000, and there is no further problem.

Has anyone else had this problem?

It's still a permissions thing.
You may have to "Take Ownership" of the file to do it.
If you right click on the file and set permmisions
Make it "Full control" "Everyone"

Get your System Administrator to help.

DougP
dposton@universal1.com

Ask me how Bar-codes can help you be more productive.
