open word documents from access

ive posted this before but i really can't get it to work, i would like to open a specific word doc from access (the path is z:\markbook\year7letter.doc if that helps)
please, i really need this, and i dont have a clue about visual basic
i am using access 2000

I have a DB that I used to open word documents for a mail merge. I ended up doing it a different way but the code will open word documents from Access. It requires you to set the TOOLS, REFERENCES to MICROSOFT WORD 8.0 (when editing some code this will be available). If you send me your email address then I'll mail you the file.
