Open the case of a Zeos Meridian 400 Laptop?

I am attempting to rebuild a Zeos Meridian 400 laptop (486/DX2-50). The user manual is available online but have had no luck in locating a service manual. There is no obvious way to open the case to access the hard drive. Any advice will be much appreciated.

Now that's some old technology. If it were me, I wouldn't bother. I think it would be money down the drain....
