I searched the forum for "open port range" but did not find anything.

My question:

I already have a pix setup and working fine. Now I need to open up a range of ports 12000-12999 to allow its passthrough.

I know how to open up one port, but not range. I searched the net, and got crytic answers at best.

I would like to know what command to enter, and format. I mean, it can't be that hard to open up a simple range of ports can it?

Pix version 515e, thought that might help!

I thought I had it with this:

access-list 200 permit tcp host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx any range 12000 12999

access-group inside outside

It took the commands, but it still does not work.

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip of the outside ip i want to connect to. Any, is any station on my inside network.

The access group activats the access-list.

Am I completely wrong in how I am doing this or what?

My goal is to allow a port range on the inside to go to the outside to a specific ip.

Help?
