open pictures with excel

I am having trouble with some links that are setup in an excel spreadsheet to open picture files. When you click on the links it pops up with a registry entry saying microsoft photo editor has no registry entry. But even when I uninstalled and reinstalled the photo editor it didn't work. And also if I log into the computer with any other user profile the links work fine? Anyone seen something like this before?

Yeah, I've have the same problem. I had to change the default program for pictures (JPG, BMP, etc) from Microsoft Photo Editor to say Paint.

I tried that, and the pictures open up ok. However, it still gives me a registry error and locks up excel and I have to close excel with the task manager and reopen it everytime I use a picture link.
