i have a manager that likes to look at an employee email, i look and ca't find a way to do it it gives error UNABLE TO DISPLAY FOLDER. wher do you set up permissions?

By default Outlook Authentication is done by windows logon credentials. If you look at the event log you will see the error event. Go into Outlook account properties to set it so he can re-autheticate with the user's username and password every time he wants to take a peek.

Or he can use OWA to snoop.

we don't know the password, i tried to set him as delegate but it wont work. any ideas?

Grant permission through Exchange Administrator, recipients, double click on the email recipient's box and click on the Permissions tab. Add the manager and check every box. Wait until the server replicates and (s)he will have access.

Make sure the managers settings in Outlook are set to NOT empty the deleted items folder upon exit, it's a dead giveaway that someone has been snooping!

Sometimes you have to enable the permissions tab. Go to "Tools, Options, Permissions" and then check the box that says "Show Permissions page for all objects"

Good luck!
