Open File Option Error Msg

I recently installed v 8 in a windows 2000 server. I installed the open file option and the first night the customer got an error message saying that "open file option does not currently support the ability to follow mount points"
I really need to get this fixed and cant find anything on their website.
If anyone knows the fix for this, please let me know.
