Hi,

I like to use the WIndows-E command to open Explorer. I have noticed delays in doing so though.

I created a new shortcut to a folder and put it in my Quicklaunch area and it opens straight away but it opens with the File and Folders task on the left when I would like it to open to the Folders Toolbar.

My questions are:

1 - How can I speed up the Windows-E launch of Explorer
2 - Is there a command line switch to open Explorer to the Folders Toolbar by default??

Thanks,

Petzl

This is a question for the Windows group rather than the Office group!

The usual reason for delays in WinKey+E is an invalid mapped drive or waiting for a slow network connection to be established.

There certainly are switches to change the defaul opening of Explorer: try this MSKB article:
