OK….. I have Administrator rights to most of the computers at my work. One person was using one of the computers and had locked it. I had to do something on that particular machine and he wasn't present at that time. So since I had Admin rights I logged in as me. Not knowing that it would also log off the current user.

The person made an important document without saving it.

Question:
Has he lost that file? OR was all his settings saved somewhere before the computer logged him off???

Everybody should use AntiVirus! Are you protected now?

Hmmmmm...I would say that whether or not the documnet was aved depends a lot on whether or not the program he was using had "autosave" enabled...of course, sometimes you can look for the document under another name, i.e. document.tmp or something similar. What was the program being used...?
