I have a table with an autonumber as the key field.

How can I make a query that only shows the most 5 recent records that have been entered?
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Use the Top property. You can set it for number of records or a percentage. In your case you would sort the AutoNumber Decending and select the Top 5 from the little combo box that say "All" in it up on the toolbar.
