I only want to be able to show the first record of each group. Can someone tell me how to do this. Thanks.

Only show first record of each group

Right click on the group header on the left of the report canvas and insert a section. If you have a Group Header 1, then you will have a Group Header 1a and a Group Header 1b. Simply move the record into group header 1b.
You may have to insert a sort to make sure the right record appears in the group header. On many of my reports, I have date in descending sequence to get only the latest record to display.
