Only Index Backup?

I want to backup only the index of a client.

How can I do this?

Try this from the backupserver, it should work. The -O flag
is for backing up index only, for the backupserver a new bootstrap is also generated.

savegrp -v -O -l full -c clientname

I will start the backup from the client, not on the backup server.

The index is owned and backed up by the server, so starting it from the client is not possible to my knowledge.

You can't do this on the client only from legato, the index's are owned by the backup server thus are secured on the backup server only, and are only backed up by the backup server.

Why would you want to do it like that anyway?
