We have added 4 additional processors to an existing 4 for a total of 8 processors on 2 identical HP Netserver LXR 8500's running NT 4 Enterprise Ed. The additional 4 processors are recognized at the hardware layer on both servers, but on 1 server they are not recognized by NT. NT only recognizes 4 out of 8 processors installed, has anyone seen this before, and if so how did you resolve it? Microsoft and HP(Compaq)are stumped by this, we have tried all there suggestions short of a rebuild, and still no resolution.
