I think I know the answer but not sure.
9.1.7 server edition
one-x portal system directory. I see no way to update all the other fields with info. It seems that you cannot upload or add any of the additional info like work email, mobile phone etc to the system users.

I think the outlook plugin is just using the same form for all contacts. You can edit the personal ones and that makes sense. and it makes sense that you can't edit the system ones. What does not make sense is that there is not way as the administrator to add info to these fields. Am I correct in that? Is there a way to do this I am missing?

The system directory is not the one-X portal system directory, its the IP Office system directory being displayed by the one-X Portal. The entries are configured and edited mainly through the IP Office system configuration (mainly because certain users can be given rights to edit entries via their phones). Look in the IP Office Manager help.

so What I am unclear on is the ldap settings in one-x populates what? and where do you see it?

If you have LDAP configured in the portal server, the portal users see the results on the External tab in the Directory.
