One-X on UCM (Voice Network) access from local PC's (Data Network) 3

Hello all,

So I have an IPO Demo system that I am messing around with and when installing One-X on my UCM, an issue came up.

IPO LAN: 192.168.42.1 , handing out DHCP for my J-Series phones and running my UCM at 192.168.42.2

IPO WAN: 192.168.1.250, on my data network as well as my SIP Trunk.

How would it be possible to access the One-X Portal that is on the Voice VLAN from my data VLAN (our PC's?)

This is really more a routing question. You would need either the IPO to be routable to both VLANs or the computer you use to administer from to be.

By putting the lan port on the data network, and using wan as the voice vlan including the sip trunk.

So What I am thinking is:

Current Data VLAN: 192.168.1.XXX

IPO LAN: 192.168.1.200
IPO UCM: 192.168.1.201

Voice VLAN (w/SIP Trunk)
IPO WAN: 192.168.43.1
IPO Phone DHCP Server: 192.168.43.100 - 150
Voice VLAN Gateway: 192.168.43.254

Suggestions on the best way to Re-IP the UCM?

On the fast VLAN default gateway just add a static route to the UCM IP using the IPO as next hop.

Computers use the data VLAN's default gateway to reach any network besides the one they are in themselves.

So if the default gateway within the data VLAN knows that the UCM IP is reachable through the IPO IP address (the one in data VLAN), it will forward packets with destination 192.168.42.2 to 192.168.1.250 and IPO will do the rest.
