I have one user out of seven that when he logs onto the E2K Server through Outlook it takes his client a few "tries" to get connected. After a 2-3 tries it connects fine. But why would this happen.

I have enough licenses of W2K, E2K and Backoffice...what can I check on his client or server login information.

Have you had this user try on one of the other computers (one that is quick)?

Do any of the other 6 have the same trouble from this person's computer?

Daniel

I have not tried to log the "slow" user on from a different machine. And none of the other six have experienced the "slowness".

I'll try to narrow the problem down to the machine and not the account. If it's the machine, I'll try and reconfigure the Outlook client again. If it's the account, then I may delete the account and then add it again.

Update to follow...

Okay,
I've tried to logon with that user to a different machine and the account acts fine.
I've also tried to logon to the "bad" computer with another account, and it is "Slow" too.
I've setup the user with Outlook Express and it checks email fine (and fast).

So, I'm to the conclusion:
Outlook XP Client on the W2K Client Laptop (or one of it's components) is bad. But how do I go about "fixing" it?

Do I remove Office totally and reinstall?

I've tried to "repair" outlook through the Add/Remove Control Panels, but it didn't fix anything.

Any other suggestions?
