We're running Exchange 5.5 (SP4).
Everything is running fine, except a public folder that is being used as a common contacts folder for users across the country. The folder freezes up occaisonally and nobody can access it. After a while, the folder is available again.
The size of this contacts folder is 13.5 MB, we've got a few others that are bigger than this and aren't having any problems. There are over 7,800 items in this folder.
At this point I'm thinking of maybe breaking it into 4 smaller public folders and seeing if this resolves the issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
