Hi,

Really strange one this. I was forwarded an email for which I then had to forward further (it was about bogus callers and an important message) using the message in the recieved e mail. I replied. No problem. I tried to forward to a list of about 20 people I use quite regularly. But it wouldn't go. I usee Outlook 2000 and Norton Antivirus. It did not get as far as my virus checker. It just waited for about 20 seconds then disapeared from the Outbox. I immediately got a "System Administrator" message "Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: FW: Warning
Sent: 09/12/2003 16:24

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

Axxxx (E-mail) on 09/12/2003 16:24
No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient.

This was repeated for each of the recipients.

I tried agian but it would not go. I copied and pasted to a new email but it would not go. I copied into Word and reformatted the text and copied to another e-mail but it would not go. I saved the word doc and a work pal opened it over the network, copied into another e-mail and sent it to me. It Worked!! So I tried to forward it and gues what? It wouldnt go! During this time i sent and recieved e-mails including some from people on this list.

Any ideas cos its certainly got everyone I've talked to.

Thanks

Ray

Sounds like the first address in your list is an invalid one, maybe you have a comma instead of a full stop. For reasons I am still trying to figure out if the first address is invalid Outlook 2000 seems to give up. Try sending the message with say the last 10 addresses on it. IF your message goes OK then the problem will be to do with the address or the format that you are typing in.

try sending the message back to yourself first. Give it a different subject line and see if you get it. If you do, then let me know.

Hi Thanks for the ideas.

Sending it to myself did not work. But I tried sending it to the first address only and it went. I then sent it to the first half of the list including the first address. It went. I then sent it to the second half and it went as well.

No-one I've spoken to can see any reason for this. I expect that Outlook was just in a stroppy mood!

Thanks again.
