We are using the T7316 model phones in our system and I have been able to figure out how to do the majority of things within the programming but this eludes me.

One of our extension was placed out on the plant floor without access to the main 5 lines that go out, it could only page and call other extensions. I have figured out how to set it up to use the 5 outgoing lines but when I try to dial out on any of them I get "Restricted Call" and then the line hangs up. Is there somewhere in the programming that deals with what extensions have access to the main lines? Ive looked all over and cant seem to find anything.
Thanks.

Without knowing the type of system and software, the easiest way is to copy an fully functional extension that has the options needed to that extension.

What is the best way to find out the System and software being used. I started here as the IT guy a couple months ago and was tasked with phone system stuff of which I have limited experience. Was under the assumption the software would be similar for the T7316 model phone systems.

Tried looking over the settings of a working extension and all seem similar to the nonworking one. Granted Im prolly missing whatever one setting I need to enable/change.

Thank you for helping me find my Software Version. That being said, anyone with any ideas where to check for this extension to be blocked?

Terminals & Sets > Enter extension> Go to Restrictions

SHK Certified (School of Hard Knocks)
NCSS, ATSP/IP

Check under Sets then Restrictions and what filter is being used .
Use the same filter as a normal working set.

Thanks all for the timely responses.

Under Terminals&Sets>EXT>Restrictions I have Restriction Filters, Set Restrictions, Line/Set Restrictions

If I do the first one it comes up with: "Show Filters:__" and wants me to enter a filter number. I can hit List and view all the different filters 00 - 99 of which only 01 and 05 have anything set. They seem the same on the troubled EXT and a working one

You guys were right I found the answer:

Terminals&Sets>EXT>Restrictions>Set Restrictions>Normal:

was set to restriction list 5 which I think was a Deny all restriction list. Changed it to list 2 like everyone else and boom goes the dynamite.

Thanks all for directing me where to look!
