I have a problem now with page numbering.

I set up a "page: {page} of {pagenum}" in my template I am using the code to copy but it is not working correctly what it does is.

say there are four pages it recognises that so it is "of 4"

but then the page numbers will be 1 of 4, 1 of 4 ,2 of 4, 3 of 4
not 1 of 4, 2 of 4, 3 of 4, 4 of 4 which is how it should be

Any ideas why it is doing this and how I can correct it?

Go to Tools, Options, Print tab and disable Background Printing. I hope it's Word you are asking about.

The only other thing I can suggest is under Tools, Options, Print, enable Reverse Print Order
