One DC Server 2008 Second DC Server 2003 and GPOs

Ok probably a dumb question. I am planning on replacing one of my DCs with Windows Server 2008. My other DC is Windows Server 2003 and is not being replaced at the moment.

We have some Vista clients on our network and would like to configure some of its new GPO settings. By adding a Windows Server 2008 DC to the network would that let me configure these setting and have the Vista clients pick them up?

yes it would. I upgraded one of my server 2003 boxes at our central site with server 2008 and there are a lot of features that vista benefits from for security from the upgrade. We do folder redirection and in vista and server 2008 you can redirect a lot more folders than you can with xp.

One thing to note, if you decide to utilize Group Policy Preferences (one of the best features of server 2008), you will need to do all GPO editing from either a Vista client or from a 2008 server.
