One background over two monitor or seperate backgrounds 1

Hi, Is there a way you can have two seperate backgrounds on each monitor in XP when using 2 monitors? Or can you have one background and strech it across 2 monitors?

The ways of doing this are varied and many, perhaps if you let us know what your sitation is now as far as hardware goes we can advise the best course of action.
