Hi,
I am getting ^[[A in SQLPLUS whenever I try to recall previous commands using up-arrow key. The same thing works on Windows SQLPLUS. Is there any term setting that I need to do in order to make arrow-keys work. I set TERM to vt100, xterm. But none worked.
Can anybody suggest me what value to be set or what other environment variable needs to be set.
Thanks in advance

As far as I know there is no mechanism to recall previous commands in SQLPLUS - well you can get back the last command or bit of SQL you tried using ed (editor) you can also change the default editor to something more friendly like in unix I use vi - just issue define _editor=vi
then you can edit your last sql to your hearts content.

You can save SQL code and you can set up particular profiles for user / personal use within sqlplus environment
in Unix using a .profile file you can set thinhgs like linesize , pagesize etc - every time you use sqlplus from then on will have the particular settings you set.
