I have a report that enables the user to specify a date range. Is it possible to show a common error message if the range specified contains no data? Something along the lines of MS Access's "On No Data".

You can write a formula that says:

If IsNull({date})
then "messsage"

and place this on the page header, or you can put it in a separate section that is suppressed on the opposite condition:
