One day, without making any significant system tweaks, additions, etc. I noticed that JPG files in MSIE 6, Netscape 7, and Firefox 1 all looked blurry and distortred (similar to overcompressing) on a Sony TR3AP2 w/XP Pro. GIF Files are unaffected. For example, if I view my web page ( offline, everything apprears fine. If I then go to that link on-line, the degraded JPGS appear. Furthermore, downloading and viewing (with IrfanView) the degraded picture shows that the pic is inherently degraded. Thus, the problem seems to be associated with rendering JPGS on-line only. Any clues or fixes? Or has anyone seen this before? I'd appreciate if you would tell me if you notice this happening on my site appears. BTW the problem does not occur on two other Dell Desktops. Thanks. Fallingrock.
