Hi

I have a medical centre that have x 2 receptionists answering incoming calls , they have asked me is it possible to have them showing as busy when they put a call on hold. To explain the receptionists are in two seperate rooms and both have the other recep extn on a dss key. They will stick a call on hold at say recep 1 and would like recep 2 dss key to show extn as being busy.
I cant see any way round this as obviously as soon as a call is on hold youre phone is free to take other calls. Just thought I would ask the question in case there is any way. They used to have an old key system so probably trying to replicate old operation.

cheers

I think you are out of luck to try and replicate this.
Tell them to use mute instead of hold its probably the closest you will get to it but it will be annoying to the callers because they will hear only silence instead of music

Two appearance keys, enable reserve last CA and enable "Busy on hold"?
Never tried it but it sounds as it should work.

Thanks for the replies. Will try the busy hold / 2 ca in my office , mute might be an option. Cheers

Please let me know if that busy on hold shows the user button as engaged because I thought it doesn't do that.
