Hi,

just wondering if anyone has had any experience in setting up Nokia MailExchange on an E-series phone for synchronizing with Outlook Mobile Access in Exchange 2003. If so, do you have any documentation/hints/advice etc?

I've been Googling and can't find any white papers or any documentation on how to actually enable it. The few bits I've found don't look too hard - setup the mobile carrier in System Manager/Mobile Services with the domain name etc. Then I assume it's up to installing MailExchange on the phone and configuring it's settings??

Where do I point the mobile towards - an HTTPS address like OWA?

Also, do I have to use a frontend/backend configuration? Hopefully not as I'll just have one server and OWA pointing towards it too.

Any advice is appreciated?

Thx

I haven't set up Nokia MailExchange before, but if it's using OMA/ActiveSync then you would just point the phone to the same URL that is used for Outlook Web Access. If you have an SSL certificate on your exchange server you would use HTTPS, otherwise you can use HTTP (you can use HTTP in Exchange 2003, but not Exchange 2000). Obviously, HTTPS is the better option.

You don't need a front-end/back-end setup, I've configured ActiveSync on a single Exchange server implementation.
